I saw the first picture and thought that was an early snow shot - no doubt when I saw the second. My truck had about 2+ foot on top, and the any snow drifts were about 3' :)
Karen, Shiver me timbers! I don't envy you. Fresh fallen snow is always pretty, its the after effects that always get ya. Springs a comin'
Thanks for sharing your pictures. We are still digging out in Montgomery County MD. Enjoy the day.
Wow! We had about a foot and that was enough!
I have a similar before and after picture of our deck. 32.4 inches at Dulles Airport. In Centreville here, we are still digging ourselves out.
You are so correct. A day really did make a lot of difference. Your photos are so beautiful. The before and the after show that you live in a beautidul area.
Karen, oh my! Aren't we seeing a lot of snow photo posts today! Right now I'm ready for the melt down.
Karen, great photos! Unfortunately it looks like my back yard as well. What an amazing amount of shoveling I have to do today.
Karen * my neighbor with a plow will come by today and plow my drive * then I'll try to get out - SUN IS OUT and my dogs are blinking because they lost their sunglasses!!!
Great pics!!!
Karen....that looks like the blizzard of '78 in Massachusetts.....we were frozen in our tracks for many days.....had fun though....the kids were very, very young and we put them of sleds and pulled the gang to the grocery store.....we cooked for the neighbor on our woodstove....no one else had one!!! sorry for the lengthy comment.
Wow, my heart goes out to you. Stay Warm
Thank you for sharing it. . .we had the same here in Maryland
Hi Karen, wow! So that's what 2+ feet of snow looks like. Long Island only got a dusting. We were supposed to get 3 to 6". Spring anyone? :)
Karen, very aptly titled! So I guess Super Bowl grilling is out of the question today?
I must admit I'm a bit jealous, I saw about a dozen flakes them nothing but rain :(
Karen, looks like we have some shoveling to do in our area. I'm sure glad I bought a snow blower a couple of years ago.
Whew! You are REALLY getting hammered back there!
Debi
Karen,
So is this going to stop you from barbequing?
Rich
Holy Mackerel! Well I guess you better throw another log on the fire and take some time to read, bake and maybe even blog and there is some sort of game on today too ;-)
One other thing, when my wife was in anesthesia school in Minnesota I actually DID barbecue in snow drifts like this!
Wow Karen, that was some snow storm. Out West, we heard that you were all hammered with this storm. The two photos nicely demonstrate the event.
Even for me growing up in Wisconsin, that's an amazing amount of snow in one day. I bet you'll be really glad to see the calendar turn to March!
Karen,
Your railing just grew by a foot or two. And there is more on the way, I see. Hang in there, it shall pass.
Wayne Peaceful, but enugh is enough
John March can't come too soon
Esko We don't really have a choice - nothing is moving
Hi Karen - Someone said on AR that as the snow has begun to melt she has never been so happy to see dead grass again! I think we're all feeling that way.
Dan It is melting rapidly now
