J C Kim (Mr. Kim to his regular customers) has owned and operated The Natural Grocer for the past 18 years along with his wife and niece, all three of whom are experts in the field.  This is impressive when you consider that there are more than 5,000 items available at The Natural Grocer.  It is also the cleanest health food store I have ever seen and I've seen a lot of them.

Arthur and I have shopped there for years.  In Arthur's case, The Natural Grocer has all of the unusual flours for his bread baking hobby that are not available anywhere else locally.  In my case, the shelves you see at the left above have more vitamins in more sizes than any other vitamin store in the area.

Dale City was the inspiration of Cecil Don Hylton and his wife Irene. His firm, Hylton Homes began developing homes in Dale City west of I-95 at the conclusion of World War II. The construction stretched from I-95 west to Hoadly Road. Hylton Homes still builds homes in the immediate area.

Each section (community) along Dale Boulevard was given a name ending in Dale - they proceeded alphabetically from east to west.. Only "I" and "J" were omitted - they are Ashdale, Birchdale, Cloverdale, Darbydale, Evansdale, Forestdale, Glendale, Hillendale, Kerrydale, Lindendale, Mapledale, Nottingdale, Oakdale, Princedale, Ridgedale, Silverdale and Trentdale. All streets in each community had the first letter of that community's name as the first letter of its' name. For example, Hendrick St is in Hillendale.

The first person in line going to the Pentagon will join the others in the car and away they go. It's free commuting for the slugger and gives the driver availability to HOV lanes on I-95 - win win!!
  • Train The Virginia Railway Express Woodbridge Station or Rippon Station provides residents with rail service to Springfield, Crystal City and Union Station in Washington, DC - the stations are approximately a 20 minute drive from almost any Woodbridge location in the morning rush hour. One residential area, Belmont Bay, is within 5 minutes of the Woodbridge VRE Station. At Springfield you can switch to Metrorail that gives you access to the entire National Capital Area subway system.

US Navy Cruisers Band To Perform At Connaughton Plaza, Saturday July 25, 2009

We are fortunate to live in Prince William County when you realize many of our tax dollars are used to provide county residents with a broad range of cultural activities. Connaughton Plaza at the County Center on the Prince William Parkway is home to many outdoor events during the summer months. For a full schedule of events see Connaughton Plaza
